Volare Shipping was established by its majority-owner, Trafigura, to own, operate and scale a modern fleet of oil tankers, commercially managed by Trafigura’s global shipping business.
Trafigura has built one of the world’s leading shipping operations. It currently manages approximately 500 vessels across multiple segments, including around 250 oil tankers.
As the shipping platform has grown, so too has the ambition to scale the business further. Volare Shipping offers investors exposure to a high-specification fleet, commercially managed by one of the world’s leading tanker charterers. Access to the capital markets, in turn, provides Volare Shipping with a strong platform from which to grow and expand.
Volare Shipping’s initial fleet of six VLCCs already on the water and eight next-generation newbuild vessels, scheduled for delivery progressively through 2028, provides a strong foundation for further growth.
